Jim's career journey began at a large law firm in Minneapolis, where he honed his legal skills representing private and public companies in mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and emerging company matters. During this time, he also dedicated himself to pro bono work, providing legal representation to asylum seekers.
Transitioning into the financial sector, Jim served as Assistant General Counsel at a large institutional asset manager based in St. Paul, Minnesota.
